M. Sean Strother, M.D.

Dr. Sean Strother is a Board Certified dermatologist who has been practicing medical dermatology at the practice since 2004 and in the Seattle area since 2001. Dr. Strother became the owner of the practice in 2013 and enjoys leading the medical team at Strother Dermatology. His busy practice gives him the opportunity to see a variety of medical dermatology conditions, perform skin surgeries, oversee the practices of the physician assistants, and read the pathology for the medical team here at Strother Dermatology.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Strother received a master's degree in entomology (the study of insects) from Louisiana State University prior to entering medical school. He has co-authored several chapters concerning skin problems caused by "creepy crawlies" and is frequently consulted by other dermatologists regarding this specialized area of dermatology.

Dr. Strother is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed his Medicine internship and Dermatology residency at the University of Washington Medical Center, where he was the Co-Chief Resident in Dermatology during his final year of training. Dr. Strother enjoys traveling with his wife, a family practice physician, and their two daughters. He is also an avid birder and general "nature geek" who spends time exploring nature in the beautiful Northwest and around the world.

Dr. Strother's vision is to provide a comprehensive, high-quality, caring, conservative, cost-effective and yet innovative team approach to both medical and cosmetic dermatology.
